I run a small SaaS and this AI clone wave is messing with my head. There's a tool blowing up right now that can reverse engineer basically anything you point it at. An app, a binary, an APK, a game. An agent tears it apart and rebuilds the functionality …

▲23 chatrep: Not just clones but taking similar concepts and redefining and making better. You can clone ABC but you can also say create a version of ABC that makes it much easier, better suited to your vertical, etc. I think this is the bigger threat. Not a “look-alike” but a better version for my niche.
▲22 Conscious-Fly-7597: The demo vs production gap still feels huge to me. Cloning the visible behavior of an app is increasingly cheap. Cloning all the invisible stuff that makes customers trust it every day is much harder. If agents keep improving, I think the durable value moves away from individual features and toward distribution, customer relationships, data, integrations, and operational reliability.
moats are discovered, not designed
people tell me I'm successful because of my audience and it's my moat
but when I started building Tweet Hunter, I had no followers
I didn't plan to build a following. I was using my own product every single day, in public, to grow on Twitter
writing threads with it, testing hooks with it, scheduling everything through it
the product needed proof it worked
I was the proof
the audience wasn't a strategy. it was a side effect of one small decision: use the product myself, in public
which is exactly what @robj3d3 is doing with SuperX now
most moats work like that.
network effects, brand, data, distribution, everything
they look designed when you read about them years later, but they usually start as a small product decision nobody thought was strategic
Cursor didn't start with its own models. it started as an editor people opened every day. the moat came later
Midjourney didn't start with a community moat. it launched inside Discord because it was the fastest way to ship. the moat came later: everyone learned by watching everyone else's prompts
you can't see your moat on day 1 because it doesn't exist yet. it shows up once people actually use the thing
you have to do the work longer than everyone else. then one day you'll see something working for you which is hard to copy
that's the moat

I discovered that 1000s of bots are actively monitoring X for new links posted, probably not just on my account
I noticed when everytime I'd share one of my sites new features or pages, the page would get a bit slower just after posting, then I asked Claude to analyze it
I tweeted a test URL as a reply somewhere deeply hidden in a thread (so not even a main post)
And within 8 seconds there's thousands of crawlers opening the page!
One is a military intelligence firm, that scans social media for breaking news and sells alerts to newsrooms, banks, companies and government, it specifically follows accounts with many followers
Another one is a social media monitoring company that tracks what people say online
I knew of course high frequency trading firms use online news to trade fast on things, but interesting to see it in real life
Twitterbot (X) of course is first, within 0 seconds of sharing, it opens it (probably when I wrote the tweet)
The first non-X bot arrives just 8.40s later, which I think is pretty fast considering it's a reply by me deeply hidden in a thread somewhere
TL;DR they're watching you!

Should you /grill-with-docs, /wayfinder, or just one shot the code?
1. If the diff is tiny, DON'T grill
/grill-with-docs saves you from situations where the agent built the wrong thing. But if the thing it's building is tiny, that cost drops to nothing. So one-shotting is absolutely fine when you're only making small changes.
2. Never start with /wayfinder
A failure mode of /wayfinder is that you start grilling and the solution turns out to be way simpler than you thought. Why is this bad? Because you've created the map and tickets, and you realise you don't need them.
So if the expected diff is medium-large, always start with a /grill-with-docs session. Then, if planning starts to get out of hand, just say "/wayfinder let's turn this into a map".
"Models are getting better, we don't need skills!"
What if I told you that models are also getting better at using skills?
Good skills tell the model what you care about, then stay out of its way.
Prompt of the day:
/wait-what questions did you have for me
Great for when the agent has gone off on its own for hours and has random questions scattered through its context window.
引用@vojta_holikYour coding agent knows :has(), subgrid and anchor positioning. It just rarely reaches for them.
I built good-css so it does: 47 modern CSS techniques your agent uses first. https://t.co/qziSDAVYVM↗
Today's hot take:
Agents are actually really good at strategic programming
It's just they aren't RL'd to actually care about it
"Just do the task at hand, don't do anything else"
So all you need to do is to tell your agent to care about its own codebase.
But the truth is that most people actually don't care that much about the codebase, as long as the code works.
This needs to change. Care about the code, and tell your agent to.
Starting to realise that to make agents strategic, they really just need a clear goal.
I.e. they can hill climb anything (as long as they have the data), but they need to know where they're going.
Feels like I need to make a /the-ideal-codebase skill that helps you define what that goal should be.
Then you can let your agent choose the direction and just try to endlessly improve.
I'm GrokBot pilled.
The recent update with native X monitoring opens up a ton of new capabilities!
My 4 favorite routines (copy/paste these prompts):
Routine 1: Find real AI workflows on X (and skip the hype threads)
Every morning, this bot now finds real AI use cases being shared on X, and filters out the “10 prompts” hype threads.
“Every weekday at 9:15am in my time zone, search X and the web for new AI workflows people are actually running. Keep only cases that name the old task, the tool, and the result: time saved, a step removed, or a handoff that used to need a person. Drop product announcements, “10 prompts” threads, and anything the author has not used more than once. Return at most 3. For each, give the link, the job it replaces, what I would need connected, and whether it fits my work. Send it to me on Slack. Do not post or reply anywhere else. Save this as a routine. If nothing qualifies, send one line saying so.”
Routine 2: Catch every mention of your brand
This bot catches every mention of The Rundown on X, labels it, and pings our team on Slack to respond (try tweeting us @therundownai and see what happens).
“Every weekday at 9:00am, search X for mentions in the last 24 hours of [your brand, @handle, or your own name]. For each hit, give the author, link, a one-line summary, and whether it is praise, complaint, question, or neutral. Do not reply to anyone. Post the digest in [your Slack channel] and tag me. Save this as a routine. If a source is unavailable, say which one.”
Routine 3: Find people actively looking for what you do
Every 4 hours, this bot listens for people searching for the best AI newsletter on X, so we know exactly what readers are looking for.
“Every 4 hours, search X for people evaluating [your category]. Catch three things: reviews or complaints about [category]; posts asking which [category] to use; and complaints about the problem [your product] solves. Quote the post, link it, name the account, and label it review, shopping, or complaint. Skip anything older than 24 hours, and skip [category] accounts promoting themselves. Post to [your Slack channel] only if there is at least one new hit you haven’t already shared. Do not reply to or interact with anyone. Save this as a routine. If the search fails, report the failure in Slack.”
Routine 4: Never lose a new contact again
I meet A LOT of people at events. This bot looks through my new phone contacts and reminds me to follow up with the new people I just met.
“Every weekday at 8:30am in my time zone, read my address book and list contacts added in the last 14 days. For each, show name, date added, phone, email, and any note. Ask me what we talked about before you write anything. Once I reply, draft a follow-up task for each person in [your task tool] with the context attached. Never text, email, or call anyone. Save this as a routine. If the address book is unavailable, say so and do not use old data.”
AI is getting REALLY good at building your wardrobe.
I built an app with GPT-6 Astra that picks my outfit every morning based on live weather, with me as the model.
It's super simple to do:
> Upload a few full-body photos and one face photo
> Add your height, sizes, and fit notes

Hot take: the fact that models are taught to look for and cite the literature holds the models back from solving more maths. Sure, existing work is important, but I wonder how much the models get anchored and act deferential towards it
When I saw this, that's exactly what I thought happened - $50b and $70b is how you account for cloud revenue. Anthropic includes gross and OpenAI doesn't.
"The discrepancy arose from attempts by OpenAI’s own investors to produce a direct comparison with Anthropic’s annualised revenues.
The pair calculate the figure in different ways, with Anthropic including the revenue from sales via cloud partners such as AWS and Google Cloud, while OpenAI does not."

I want to dwell on this a bit. Some of these problems were tackled by some of the smartest humans on the planet for maybe 10+ years and they couldn't solve them.
Now a model worked for 3 hours per problem and solved 100s of them.
Even assuming that ChatGPT Pro is ~10 sub-agents working constantly, that would perhaps be ~300m tokens total or $800 at Astra API prices. Even if this LLM would be priced at 10x, this is still hardly a huge amount of money and certainly fit within a $500/month sub.
To say this again, you can wake up in the morning, pick a maths problem that hasn't been solved in decades, put it to your LLM, the make yourself a coffee, walk your dog, check your emails, smoke a joint... and the problem could be solved by the time you check back in. This is not normal.
引用@petergostev"On average, each result used three hours of ChatGPT Pro thinking compute with [the unreleased internal OpenAI] model."

Working with coding agents feels like wizardry to me.
You tell me that my job is to summon software that has never before been written by telling my computing machine what to do, and it asks me clarifying questions? And then does the thing!?
"What sorcery is this???" but good.
This analogy is the best I've ever heard when it comes to how LLM-generated code looks, works, and what the role of developers is morphing into.
Pre-AI codebases are sturdy, with scaffolding that allows for human comprehension and, at the same time, prevents hyper-optimization. We need to "get" the code, not just run it.
Post-AI codebases let go of all pretense to be both accessible by interpreters/compilers/runtimes AND humans, and contain JUST what is needed to provide the expected outcomes.
And that is what developers are realizing they must measure, review, and verify. Not the code, but the constraints and tests around it.
引用@NickADobosCodebases are going to start looking like optimized topology 3d prints
When AI is better at math than humans it also becomes better at algorithm & codebase design
At that point the system and delivering quality software doesn’t require human understanding … ↗
Keeping costs down has a restrictive directionality
Increasing your operative budget by increasing revenue is quite literally a growth mindset, and only one of them can truly have exponential effects.
The more “just let Claude cook”, the less you’ll understand its prose. At some point, it becomes technical mumbo jumbo (which my autocorrect just tried to correct to “limbo jumbo”) that might as well be compiled binary code.
It’s both extremely precise and contextual but at the same time hyper-specific to the way Claude “thinks”. I wonder if this will get better or worse with smarter models. I might just be starting to be too stupid to keep up sometimes.
These small models are getting incredibly cheap yet get more and more capable for those kinds of tasks that make up a whole lot of "background jobs."
At this point, it feels wrong NOT to have an AI look at whatever you're doing while you do it.

.@WHOOP is so bad at sampling heart rate during a run.
55 min in zone 5 is total joke.
My Apple Watch had no issue getting the data (zone 2 run).
I tried tightening it, different location. It always think my runs are done in zone 5. Same for my wife.
Surprisingly, WHOOP gets the right data for all other workouts: biking, rowing, lifting, and even skiing (erg) 🤷
The more I use Opus 5.5, the more I realize how far behind OpenAI models are.
Not just coding. Everything.
I sent GPT-6 Astra my V02 max lab test results, and it gave me a headache. 200 sentences of: "your report shows this, I think that, therefore it's inconclusive".
On the other hand, Opus 5.5 gave me the gist and actionable steps.
OpenAI models right now are like that overthinking guy who can't make a decision.
Opus 5.5 is that high-agency friend who tells you exactly what you need to hear in one sentence.
I don't know how the gap widened so much in the last few months.
I just did my yearly V02 max test:
🫀 61.9 mL/kg/min
It's 8% better than last year 🥳 and puts me in the top 5% of men my age.
The test was on a treadmill, starting at 6 km/h. The speed increased by 2 km/h every 3 minutes. At each stage, the doctor stopped the treadmill for 15 seconds to take a blood sample from my finger and measure my lactate levels. I passed out at 22 km/h (~25 minutes).
For the past 2 years, I've taken my fitness seriously:
- Cardio 3-4x a week
- Lifting 2-3x a week
I was worried about losing muscle mass, which also matters for longevity, but I didn’t. In fact, I’ve gained almost 10 kg since last year. I’m now 84 kg at 181 cm, and I’m happy with that.
My goal for next year is to improve my VO₂ max and get stronger without gaining more weight.
Marc, when you read this next year, here's your resume:
- Bench press: 100 kg × 5 reps
- Squat: 120 kg × 5 reps
- Deadlift: 150 kg × 5 reps
- 10 km: 39 minutes
Good luck 🫡

You NEED to be running my 2 new favorite prompts for Grok Bot/Hark/Dots/Claude Code
Been getting so much more done with these
They're a morning/evening prompt I run first thing in the morning and right before I go to bed
This evening prompt makes it so my agent always builds something incredible while I'm sleeping:
"about to go to sleep. whats one big thing you can start building while I'm sleeping?"
Run that in any project you're currently working on. I run this in a game I'm building and I always wake up to an awesome new feature.
In the morning I run this in my main personal assistant agent:
"I just woke up. Give me a list of decisions we can make right now to push the ball forward"
My personal agent then goes through my calendar, email, and other plugins and prepares a list of decisions with options.
I give the OK on them and boom I'm productive immediately upon waking up
These 2 prompts make it so I'm always productive to start and end my days
Most importantly they help me find blind spots by allowing the agent to think of new things to do instead of relying on myself to figure everything out.
Run these ASAP
Grok Bot just had a MASSIVE update
They added a ton of functionality including:
• Dedicated email address
• Opus in Grok
• Cursor integration
• A 'Main' bot
• Much more
In this video I cover all the new updates and show you two new use cases I just discovered: https://t.co/zRBz7z0ZGk
The Claude Bot everyone has been waiting for has arrived and it's.... Grok Bot
Elon announced Grok Bot will now be powered by whatever the BEST model is for the task you're working on
Ask for a super complex task? Opus 5.5
Ask for a detailed image? Midjourney
Shows you how good Elon is as a business man
He's not implementing competing models into Grok Bot. These are models that are running in SpaceXAI data centers due to existing Anthropic contracts
If you use Grok models. Elon wins. If you don't use Grok models. Elon wins.
And people say it's luck that he's a trillionaire

Here are my best 10 prompts to improve your business and your distribution, and get more customers.
1️⃣ "Test my product like a real user and go through the whole purchase funnel, from the landing page to the payment. Then give me 3 things I should change first to increase my conversion rate."
2️⃣ "Read my welcome email sequence and look at its numbers: open rate, clicks, unsubscribes and conversions. Improve the emails that underperform, then remind me in 7 days to check the results so we can do it again."
3️⃣ "Go through the support emails from the last 30 days and list every complaint, bug, frustration and idea from my users. Then give me the top 3 changes to make to my product to fix what comes up the most."
4️⃣ "Read my landing page as a skeptical visitor who has never heard of me. Tell me what you understood in 5 seconds, what is unclear, and which objection would make you leave. Then rewrite my hero section, with a least 3 different versions."
5️⃣ (I love this one!! Mine is a big more complex now, but you get the idea) "Every Monday, check my key numbers (traffic, signups, revenue, churn), compare them with the previous week, and send me a short summary with the one thing I should focus on."
6️⃣ "Look at my churned customers from the last 3 months, find what they have in common, and suggest 3 concrete actions to keep the next ones longer."
7️⃣ "Compare my pricing page with my competitors' and propose one pricing experiment I can run this month, with the impact you'd expect on revenue."
8️⃣ "Look at my users who signed up but never paid, find the last action they did in the product, and write a reactivation email for each group."
9️⃣ "Look at my Search Console data and find the keywords where I rank between position 5 and 20. Tell me which pages to improve first to get the most traffic out of them."
1️⃣0️⃣ "Launch on Uneed. Send a DM to Thomas, the founder, to ask for a huge discount to skip the line" 😎
Bookmark this and run one of them every week!! The more you'll do it, the more you'll refine the prompt, connect your tools etc to have more accurate data and results
If you want to automate all that, check out Paseo, it's a super nice open source and free ADE, I personally love it 😄
2025 hack: "ask the AI how to prompt the AI"
2026 hack: at the end of every session, tell your agent

it saves it as a skill, and reads it before the next task
I now have one for rendering videos ..
one for reading my Sentry errors ..
one for my posting queue ..
and one that writes like me
each week, the agent needs me a little less
not sure what I'll do soon 👀
moats are discovered, not designed
people tell me I'm successful because of my audience and it's my moat
but when I started building Tweet Hunter, I had no followers
Midjourney didn't start with a community moat. it launched inside Discord because it was the fastest way to ship. the moat came later: everyone learned by watching everyone else's prompts
you can't see your moat on day 1 because it doesn't exist yet. it shows up once people actually use the thing
you have to do the work longer than everyone else. then one day you'll see something working for you which is hard to copy
that's the moat
me to AI: how to get ChatGPT to mention my product more?
AI: get #1 into listicles
me: but how to do that?
AI: reach out to blog owners, ask them, pay them
me: ok on it
results:
- 400+ owners reached
- crazy rates
- 1 listicle live
yeah because those are saturated ...
listicles are crazy important and there is no easy way to get there
so we built something
it's honestly the most valuable thing we ever built
we get YOU on LISTICLES ..
.. in autopilot

now having users spend $1k+ / week on Revid
AI has reached a point where you can just ask for the video you want, and you blindly trust it, and it comes out as a multi-minute video that is even better than what you asked for
this one was 1-shot, for about $8
and yeah, sometimes it's off, you re-run it, and get gold 20 minutes later

1. spend 2 hours writing the brief
2. send to a freelancer
3. wait 2-3 days for 1st version
4. endless feedback and iteration

Yap-to-content - this is now my standard way of creating content for social media and YouTube.
It works like this:
- I go for a long walk in the Swiss mountains.
- I yap to Telegram for 30-40 minutes straight.
- My OpenClaw agent structures my thoughts.
- Makes sense of it and turns it into content.
When I come back, my agent has prepared a full week of content in FeedHive.
- Carousels
- Graphics
- Threads
Still my ideas.
But the AI did the heavy lifting.
This is how it works 👇
I would not hire a content person just to keep the machine moving anymore.
A lot of founder content work is repeated production work:
Collect rough ideas.
Check YouTube angles.
Turn customer comments into topics.
Draft the first version.
Make the graphic.
Schedule the post.
Look at what got a response.
That used to be junior-marketer work.
Now it is a pretty good agent workflow.
The founder still has to bring the taste, the opinion, the real experience, and the judgement.
That part matters more than ever.
But the repeatable loop around it should be a system:
→ Capture ideas
→ Shape angles
→ Produce assets
→ Publish
→ Learn from comments and performance
This is the kind of content setup I would build before hiring a content team.

This “don’t build in public”is such a weird take I started seeing more of
Yes, now with AI it’s easier than ever for people to copy your work
But they always will be one step behind. It’s not like you’re sitting still, not iterating after your v1
And what’s the alternative? Building in private? Not shipping your work to customers? Hiding?
That’s coming from a position of weakness imho
Good luck building a great product nobody gets to use and provide feedback on
AI lets everyone move faster. You. But also your competitors. And straight up copycats
Relatively, not much has changed. You need to continue to keep momentum, keep shipping, gather feedback, iterate on that, build a network of peers who got your back, where you can go for advice, etc
I’d put my money on someone doing that, in public, over someone iterating forever in private never shipping because it’s not ready yet and too easy to copy
