I used to pay attention to Ed Zitron, exactly because he seemed to be someone who did the research, and looked at numbers. Until one day, I realized that seems to only look at numbers as long as it serves his agenda. When it doesn't, he looks away or makes the case for why the numbers are wrong, and shields himself from these "incorrect" numbers - or people who would point to anything suggesting that AI is not a total fad. In April 2025, Zitron wrote [1] "I am sick and tired of everybody pretend …
OpenAI的Path to Astra则把关键能力与前沿安全措施放进同一份路线说明。三条内容放在一起看,模型竞争正在从单次发布会变成持续兑现:能力要跑出来,配额要交代,过去说过的话也会被翻账。
Didn't see it even after updating, then read https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/block-ads-firefox-ios : > This feature is experimental and is being introduced to the Firefox user base through a progressive rollout. It may not yet be available to all users. Additionally, remote improvements must be enabled. Apparently, you can only block ads if you allow Mozilla telemetry. Thanks, dicks.
Is that what it is using to render and manipulate MS Office documents? That'd explain the poor rendering of some of my files. Bundling all of LibreOffice seems like a pretty huge dependency.
This seems like by far the best model yet for reconstructing 3D spaces from sparse images. It looks like you could reconstruct your whole house with pretty good fidelity from a dozen or so images taken on your phone. They show it working with videos that have motion, but it seems like time is always frozen while the camera is moving, and they always return to a ground truth camera view before advancing time again. Maybe the temporal consistency isn't very good? This surprises me given how well i …

Movie Scene Map收录13312部电影、剧集、游戏、动漫与漫画的场景地点,拿到255分。它没有生成新世界,而是给既有文化内容加上可浏览的空间索引;一生成、一索引,展示了“空间”成为界面后的两种产品路径。
I have never been a gamer, but I have gained huge respect for gamers, gamer magazines and game developers for pushing back against this AI curse. Contrast this with "open" source where some Gen-Xers who are too tired to program need the AI wheelchair and simultaneously build power in their corporations for selling out everyone else. I fell that also gamers are still able to articulate themselves rather than just spewing corporate talking points all day long.
So an online identity verification service had millions of IDs exfiltrated, many of which were linked to marijuana dispensaries? Oh man, my ID is definitely out there, shit.
I don't see the revelation, it still appears we're near historical lows and it's not spiking. It's not like there is any divergence between before and now. It's not bad to know what this rate is but it's also not revealing a lie. If you apply their stat methodologies to other G-7, you get similar results.
People just don't care. They are happy with monopolies and surveillance capitalism. Once in a while someone talks about digital sovereignty, but much like climate change, nothing will be done (successfully) about it. That's how it is, I've come to terms with it.
