This is Ultrafast.
Our premium speed tier, Ultrafast offers up to 8x faster token generation (300 tokens per second) in Codex and up to 6x in the API. https://t.co/ekyzT1vFan
Passing API keys or secrets as normal env lets any dependency in your agent's sandbox read and potentially leak them.
The Credentials API for Gemini Managed Agents keeps secrets secure and injects them on the wire only for trusted domains, so sandboxed code can't access raw tokens. Works for environment variables, CLIs and MCP Server.

Build in public was always about marketing. Sometimes you’d be sharing lessons because you genuinely want other indiehackers to succeed, but that’s from an era where there was a non verbal agreement to not overlap projects with someone else, and you have X months of a technical head start anyway.
But the sharing ultimately led to benefits. More people checking out your site. More WOM. Maybe even some direct signups from X or wherever you’re sharing.
That era is dead now. There’s no tech head start anymore and the non verbal agreement has evaporated. It’s every man woman and chihuahua for themselves. There’s also so much software that nobody cares anymore. I could launch something today that would be revolutionary 2 years ago, that today nobody would bat an eye at. It’s all within reach of anyone with a max subscription.
RIP building in public. Let’s hope we find something to replace it.
But I think the game now is: can you find a space not saturated with devs where you can provide value with tech, can you shut up about it, and can you sell the solution to non technical buyers.
Long enough to make generational wealth before AGI turns us all back into fishermen and rice farmers.
Godspeed my fellow meat proxies.
I’m getting a bit tired of hearing the word“distribution”. People on X act like it’s this magical thing forged over centuries.
Guess what, you can buy distribution. I can buy ads. I can buy a forum related to the problem space. I can sponsor a YouTube channel.
That’s all distribution.
What people on X mean when they say “distribution” is “earned media”. Yes that takes more time to build up.
But it’s not the only type of distribution.
built a whole ass SaaS in 5 days, setup ads, started link building, automated customer support and got 3 trials
guess we're in that stage now, i really need to rethink how the future is gonna look like

What an incredible time to be building!!
In any given big coding session, I'll find a use case for Jev. It's crazy how nobody thought of this before.
And now they have a direct competitor less than a month after launch.
There is no moat.
I think every time AI can do something equally good or better than humans it stops being valuable or special
Marketing videos used to take lots of work of editing and motion graphics and a big budget
Now with Opus 5.5 etc it costs $0 to make one as good or better
That means ANYONE can make a marketing video now, so the timeline gets flooded with these videos (as you see happening now) and people stop caring about them, stop watching them and they stop grabbing attention
The response then to still grab attention is be different and that probably means IRL marketing videos that are original and unique and maybe personal
It's the grim reaper meme where AI keeps commoditizing another media format and bringing the cost down to close to $0
It already did so for graphic design (2023), last year with Nano Banana for photography (2025), this year with Seedance 2.5 it did it for video (2026) and this and next year motion graphics
引用@sporadicahot take i’ve been mulling over:
launch videos are dead (or at least in their dying breath)
oh people will still do them but they are a dying form, actual good, valuable launches will pivot to different forms ↗
Opus 5.5 has been building animatics for me - draft versions of videos I'm about to film.
It walks through the actual lessons, creates stills of what it thinks the learner should see, and narrates them with TTS.
It's outrageously useful for planning videos (watch on 2x speed, it talks slow):
I now reject more than 50% of the products added to Uneed.
It's getting worse and worse: honestly, product quality has never been this low... So much so that it's getting easier to stand out when you have a good product.
Every day, I receive dozens of AI video generators, directories of free mini-tools, free image or PDF conversion tools...
Fun fact:
On average, over the last 30 days, 3 launch platforms per day have requested to be launched on Uneed 😂. Now, I’m turning them down!
Probably the biggest update I’ve made to Designjoy in years:
You can now get your product designed AND built through Designjoy.
Front-end development and MVP builds are now included in every Designjoy subscription at no additional cost.
So instead of getting a beautiful Figma file and figuring out the rest, Designjoy will take the design all the way to a working product.
The effects this will have on Designjoy will be huge.
Much of the design phase will be totally optional, and projects can start directly in code.
This will increase the output you get from Designjoy by at least 10x.
Despite this, the price of a Designjoy subscription will remain at $5,000/m for now, roughly 50% cheaper than competing services.
I'm looking forward to testing this with a few clients over the coming weeks.
If this sounds interesting to you and you think it might be a fit for an upcoming project, DM me for a discount.
I'll make $1M in revenue for TrustMRR to prove past me was right.

ProPublica had one of their reports work with gambling addition experts to see how DraftKings would respond to someone presenting signs of a gambling problem. It's a hell of a read, and makes it clear that this company is full of people with absolutely no ethics whatsoever. https://www.propublica.org/article/draftkings-sports-gamblin...
This may not be shared by other people, but my two cents. I personally don't like inviting people to my house (or going to other people's houses) because I already spend a good chunk of my day indoors (I work from home). Whenever possible, I prefer to meet outside.
That’s quite the achievement. Though a side note of comparison I can’t believe France and Belgium suffer power losses in the 5 to 6% range. Unless I’m misunderstanding what that means, it seems excessive for a modern economy.
It is more like self imposed sanction against US made products. There are now tons of open source operating systems and applications that can replace Microsoft products, which are basically some old programs. The replacements cost vastly less for use and support.
Very cool. 5-fold symmetry on the PCB to use up the board allowance is particularly neat. A trick that poor hobbyists learn early on is to make pads a little larger than necessary for SMT parts so you've got somewhere to wick solder onto. Neopixels (5050 LEDs) are reasonable to hand-solder since the pads extend up the sides of the package, but you can also do QFNs with a bit of practice by placing a big via to get to the central pad from underneath.
Excellent to read Tk is getting better acessibility support. I love using it for quick little Perl/Tk GUI applications but I'm also slowly going blind from retinal tearing. It's good to see progress in some GUI toolkits when major desktops like KDE have dropped accessibility in their latest releases.

Over the last 5 years, I've used every social investing product -- but they all tend to fail in one key spot:
Closing the gap between (a) your belief about the world and (b) how to express that belief with stocks.
Mike reached out early in the summer and showed me @Supertake, which solves this problem in the most fun way possible: prompt with AI and it constructs a portfolio around your belief.
With the declining cost of intelligence, we're going to see much more sophisticated investing styles emerge that was previously reserved only for hedge funds.

Alex Finn@AlexFinnindie476.0K粉 · 3条集中解读Dots、Sonnet 5.5和OpenAI订阅变化,核心判断是AI补贴期正在结束。
OpenAI just released Dots, their competitor to Grok Bot and Muse
I've had early access for a bit, and I really like it
Its biggest differentiators are that it has access to ALL your ChatGPT memories, as well as all the amazing tools in the ChatGPT harness including:
• Voice mode
• ChatGPT plugins
• The new ChatGPT Spaces
• much more
Is it wildly differentiated from the other agents? No.
But if you've been using ChatGPT for a while, the fact that it just knows you and all your past chats really well is massive
And if you are a desktop app power user like me, being able to have your agent spin up codex threads on the go is wildly helpful
If you are more in the 'normie' crowd who primarily just has your agent make restaurant reservations, probably not for you
But if you use AI daily for more advanced stuff like building and doing all your knowledge work, it's excellent
OpenAI just announced that the $200 subscription will get half the amount of usage moving forward
It’s clear where all of this is going
All AI companies within the next 2 years will exclusively use API pricing. No more subscriptions
Subs only made sense when companies were willing to lose billions of dollars to get you into their ecosystem
Now that basically every AI company will be attempting to go public, they’ll no longer be able to burn extraordinary amounts of money
They’ll have to report their earnings to the street, and if the number isn’t going up and to the right, that’ll be really bad
I don’t think this is doomsday. The cheaper models like Luna and Sonnet are now actually really good. Compared to 6 months ago, they’d actually be frontier
That’s more than enough to be spectacularly productive for a good price
The consumer behavior is going to have to change. You are going to need to be fine with using an intelligence level appropriate for your work. Not just Astra 6 Max for every single thing you do
If you have a Ferrari and a Model 3 in your driveway, you don’t drive the Ferrari to pick up milk from 7/11. Sometimes you use the daily driver car
The days of AI subsidies are coming to an end, and it’s probably time we start getting used to it. The party is over.
引用@thsottiauxHi,
Tomorrow we are re-opening the Pro $200 subscriptions to new subscribers, but together with it we are also changing how we calculate the usage for it. In effect, if you do the math, it will net out at half the dollar in API spend compared to the old Pro … ↗
This is bigger news than it appears
I’ve had early access to Sonnet 5.5 for a bit now and honestly at first I couldn’t tell the difference between this and Opus 5.5
It’s a fraction of the price of Opus, which already felt like you got an absurd amounts of usage out of for cheap
It’s clear Anthropic has had some sort of breakthrough the last month
The jump in intelligence, speed, and affordability of all their 5.5 models is maybe the biggest leap we’ve ever seen in AI
You need to be using this model for all your standard, fastball down the center work
With its speed and intelligence you’ll be shocked at how fast you get tasks done
引用@claudeaiIntroducing Claude Sonnet 5.5, the second model in the Claude 5.5 family.

Great article on increasing solitude of our societies, in this case US but same probably in EU to a lesser extent:
"Derek Thompson's essay "You Are No Longer Invited to Dinner" argues that Americans have largely stopped having people over.
The headline stat comes from combining the old DDB Needham Life Style surveys Robert Putnam used in *Bowling Alone* with a new replication by Data For Progress.
The share of Americans who host friends or family at home at least monthly fell from 42% in 1975 to 12% in 2026, roughly a 70% drop. Most other forms of socializing also fell by double digits over the last 30 years, including cards, bars, sporting events, and volunteering. The decline in hosting was steeper than the much-discussed drop in church attendance.
He rules out two comforting explanations. People haven't just moved dinners to restaurants, since solo dining is rising and face-to-face socializing is down overall. They also haven't replaced parties with other social activities. Exercise and travel are up, but exercise is mostly solitary, and time spent at home has jumped sharply since the 2010s.
His explanations:
1. Harried dual-earner households. As societies get richer, leisure starts to feel like work, and planning a dinner party is basically unpaid project management. Women historically ran the family social calendar. When they moved into paid work, men didn't take over that job. He admits this can't be the whole story, because total leisure time has actually increased.
2. Intensive parenting. Parents, especially fathers, now spend far more time with their kids, and that time comes out of evenings that used to go to hosting adults.
3. Shrinking friend networks. Close friendships are declining, most sharply among people without college degrees, so hosting is becoming a luxury good. People who never host skew toward independents and non-graduates. He speculates that weaker social ties may lead to weaker party attachment, rather than the other way around.
4. Home is too comfortable. Americans spent almost two extra hours a day at home between 2003 and 2022, much of it on screens and short-form video.
His closing idea is a "Lump of Leisure" theory, a twist on the Lump of Labor fallacy. Technology hasn't made human work unnecessary, but it has made other people less necessary for fun. Social leisure turns out to be finite and easy to displace.
He frames this as a coordination failure rather than a personal one: a dinner party requires schedules, cleaning, food, allergies, and the risk of a dull evening, while TikTok asks nothing of you.
A footnote adds that if everyone gets a bit busier, the difficulty of coordinating a get-together rises multiplicatively, so small increases in individual busyness could produce large drops in socializing overall."

Yeah I feel having a home gym is a pretty big trend now
I think I got sick of going to the local gym because:
1) had to drive there 4 times per week
2) the racks/machines were often busy/used
3) then in middle of my workout a group class would start
4) then OnlyFans girl with inside ass shorts and neon blinking buttplug would walk around scouting for subscribers (true story and a bit distracting)
5) local gym had lots of drama with the owner allegedly not paying his staff and much more

Guess what, you can buy distribution. I can buy ads. I can buy a forum related to the problem space. I can sponsor a YouTube channel.

What people on X mean when they say “distribution” is “earned media”. Yes that takes more time to build up.

I think small/medium SaaS acquisitions will soon be a thing of the past.
Why spend $1+ million in cash on a business when you can now build a competitor in days and pump that money into ads and partnerships etc.
No guaranteed outcome, but some will choose this path I'm sure.
Meta ads is a good example of a site that is made 100x better by MCP.
The UI is an absolute abomination. Letting an agent do everything is so much better for your sanity.
Someone is going to build an MCP that submits my MCP to MCP stores / directories, keeps it up to date etc, and they will make a lot of money.

Erika runs 2 businesses alone from Spring Hill, Tennessee
she's not a programmer. she's actually from an ops background, and she joined https://t.co/FrTmeMTA6U in March
she has set up a chief of staff agent plus 5 specialists (research, sales, content, compliance, SEO), and she talks to them via Telegram
the first thing she did with Squad was ask the chief of staff agent to audit the CRM bill of the company she just took over
and it went from $2,500/month to $1,500/month, so she saved $12k a year with a single prompt 💥
then there's her 10pm workflow:
- she drives home from a networking event with 40 contacts
- she pastes all of them into Telegram from her phone
- by the time she gets home, 40 personalized follow-ups are sitting in her Gmail drafts
this used to eat her entire Saturday, and now it takes her 15 mins
small business owners around her saw that and asked her "can you do this for me?"
so she does 😅
she handles the setup and training, and she has done it for a couple dozen clients so far

When I got my Matic, I knew that it was a different beast than any other vacuum I had ever owned, and NOW I know why. So cool to see the founders behind such incredible tech also be so liberal with sharing their learnings.

Similar experiences here. Beats Fable, all OpenAI models, and definitely runs leaps around my own skill ceiling.

The amount of em-dashes in Opus 5.5's email-writing prose has dropped SIGNIFICANTLY.
Detecting AI writing will eventually become impossible.

I haven't seen anyone getting good results from ChatGPT ads yet which is a bummer because I think it would be great to have a real alternative to Google Ads.
It's more than search too as it can suggest products people weren't even thinking about based on the conversation.
I suspect one cause might be that the ads only appear to people who aren't paying.
Also CPC/CPM seem very high but it's still early so I'd give it some time before deciding it's not a good channel.
