I'm so baffled. First blatant piracy, now this. Why is it legal for AI companies to hack unaffiliated entities? Genuinely, what is the legal framework here?
I'd love to! For real coding though, SOTA models barely get the job done. It wasn't until Opus 4.5 that you could really get decent results. I'm sure this will change (and I can't wait for it!) but as of today, open models might be fine for summarizing and writing docs, but you need SOTA to work on code if you want to be competitive.
Open source inference server that runs the best local models for your hardware, plugged into the agent you already use. Works with Pi, OpenCode, Hermes, OpenClaw, Codex, Claude Code, Oh My Pi, and Cline.
VoiceStudio is the open-source, fully-local ElevenLabs alternative — voice cloning, voice design, video dubbing, dictation, transcription & audiobook creation in 646 languages.
I'm excited by the option in Astra to route PCBs. The next pain-point is sourcing the components from Digikey, LCSC, etc., and finding suitable substitutes if necessary. Of course this assumes the LLMs can already read datasheets because that's the biggest pain-point in designing electronics. It's like filling out tax forms. Finally it would be great if LLMs could extract simulation models from datasheets!
Show HN里的开源eInk自行车码表拿到288分:低功耗屏幕、户外场景和可维修硬件仍能组合出有辨识度的产品。
I'm using this for my mother's website ( https://www.touchofglass.eu/ ), and my only complaint is that it assumes you version a website in a Git repository. You can work around it by uploading a tarball or something like that, but it is far less convenient than using sftp/rsync. But considering that we are far into the free 10GB a month and I only have to update it very infrequently, it seemed like the best solution.
Pushin主打“Git hosting that never leaves Europe”,与欧洲静态托管同日上榜:数据驻留正在从采购条款变成首页卖点。
>We want a public service to be available. Going forward, we will support Quad9 instead of running it ourselves. Running a privacy-focused public DNS service is a highly specialized undertaking, and the Quad9 Foundation is the undisputed leader in the field. Rather than duplicating their efforts to achieve only part of what they do, we're putting those resources toward financially supporting Quad9 instead. Brilliant.
Fairphone Gen 6+的制造复盘吸引185条讨论;可维修不是一句价值观,需要供应链、结构设计和长期零件支持共同兑现。
Hi HN, I recently solved the Jane Street reverse engineering challenge [0], and I wrote a blog post on how I reached the answer. It's a moderately technical and (hopefully) entertaining run through of the process. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed doing the challenge (though, as you'll read, it was also quite a frustrating process). My github is on the post if you were interested in seeing a bit more in detail what my solution looked like, though I intend to write some follow up p …
