I am so confused why people don't understand this, I keep getting these replies
Don't you get it?
Normies don't vibe code, they just ask something like "do my bookkeeping" or "file my tax" or "organize a movie night and send invites" or "generate a flyer for movie night" or "edit my video"
They don't ever see code, vibe code, or do anything with code, their AI chat app just does it for them
Most of the software layer has already disappeared or will completely disappear for normies
Just like building personal homepages permanently disappeared for normies when Facebook launched ~2005
A lot like this picture where functions of individual devices all got replaced with a single device
Same happening with apps now

Scaled agents on demand.
This is pretty much the infrastructure that runs under the hood for ChatGPT Work, all wrapped up in an API which you can use to get started in < 1 min. Happy building.
引用@stevendcoffeyToday we're launching the Agents API, a brand new way to build Agents in the cloud, backed by the Codex harness. Bring along all your favorite tools and connectors, connect it to any sandbox, and let Astra cook.
Can't wait to see what you whip up … ↗
Now everyone can put data to work.
We’re introducing a new Data agent in ChatGPT Work so you can turn your company’s data into answers, interactive dashboards, and action—just by asking.

We don’t hold on to a decision just because it was successful at the time. When a core assumption changes, we’re willing to go back and ask whether it’s still the right call. LLMs changed one of the core assumptions behind our 2020 decision, so we reevaluated our mobile stack from first principles. What we found led us back to native.
One thing that scares me about coding with AI is that it's hard to feel your strategic mistakes
I.e. I STILL remember mistakes from my early career, in ~2018:
- using a complex form library instead of browser built-ins
- using a downright dumb webpack + PHP combo
These mistakes cost us valuable time. And when we rectified them, the tasks around them got faster.
But often, we didn't even see them as mistakes! We just thought "this is the way we do it".
We stuck to the tactical side of our job, and didn't consider high-level alternatives. Too many things to ship, too much pressure, too little interest in fixing it.
I see the same attitude in agents.
If you tell them to do a task, they will do that task. They aren't RL'd to think outside the box, or propose strategic alternatives.
So the human needs to be on the lookout for these strategic opportunities. But how do you do it, if you don't feel the pain of working in them?
I'm planning on building this into my /retro skill (still in-progress). That'll at least give the agent an opportunity to identify refactor opportunities. We'll see how it goes, but I'm still nervous about it.
AI coding tools will confidently suggest changes that will piss off your entire customer base.
Today I was re-assessing how Alertly allocates social monitoring budgets across the month.
Astra's solution: remove the budget allocation entirely and force everyone who hits limits early to upgrade.
Sounds great - revenue expansion right?
Except customer conversations scattered across DMs, calls, emails and support tickets tell a different story.
When customers hit limits too early, it causes confusion, frustration and leads to churn.
AI doesn't read between the lines of old customer conversations.
It doesn't ask "how does this impact the existing customer base?"
It just sees a technical problem and outputs a technical solution.
This is where experienced operator judgment matters.
You need to know:
> How many customers this impacts
> What their usage patterns look like
> Whether to grandfather or migrate
> What the support burden will be
> If the change is worth the friction
If you don't ask the right questions, you're putting your customers and revenue at risk.
The solution I went with was to maintain the existing budget allocation but improve the feedback on usage and introduce a softer upgrade path.
A business decision, not a technical one.
This is a really weak claim. The evidence they offer is just "someone somewhere says they had a discussion with AI about the topic at some point". They don't even claim to have had a proof, only to have been working on it.

Most SEO tools tell you what to do. /seo does it: each run measures your site, ranks every possible action on one scale (fix a wrong claim, repair a broken redirect, refresh a page sitting at position 8, consolidate duplicates, write the next piece, build a free tool, get cited by ChatGPT), and executes the single best one.
It scores its own past actions against your site's real numbers, so a month in, it knows which moves work on your site and which don't.
- One action per run. Ranks every possible fix, refresh, and new piece on one scale, does the winner.
- Learns from results. Scores past actions against real Search Console data and adjusts.
- Truth check. Finds live pages that contradict your pricing, features, or facts, and fixes them first.
- Answer-engine visibility. What ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and AI Overviews say and cite.
- Whole-site census. Every URL judged. Pruning scores like publishing.
- Outside-in demand. Reddit, Hacker News, on-site search, competitors, seasonality.
- Weekly deltas. Competitor pages and keywords, lost backlinks, inbound 404s, unlinked mentions.
- Internal link finder. Pages that mention a topic but don't link to the page that ranks for it.
- Files, CMS, or database. Database fixes ship as migrations or drafts.
- Runs on Search Console alone. Suggests new data sources along with what each added connection unlocks.
You basically just run /seo repeatedly. Daily. Multiple times a day. Weekly. On a /loop. Whatever you want. It just constantly improves your SEO.
On the content-production front, it's optimized for a TON of content types...

I've been trying to use AI for knowledge work (course planning). Here's what seems to work so far:
1. Give each 'deliverable' a Karpathy-style LLM-wiki
(for me, a deliverable is a course, or a talk. A sizeable piece of work, more than 1 day's labour)
2. Split the deliverable into 'sections' that can be worked on in independent threads during the day shift
(more than one thread meads you can parallelize work in different agent threads, all reading from/writing to the wiki for shared state)
3. My input is in the form of braindumps - huge chunks of dictated text the model integrates into its wiki
(it gives me HTML reports, I react to the reports via dictation)
4. Write a 'linting' skill you can run on the entire deliverable during the night shift
(be generous, use a ton of subagents, look for every possible weakness)
This lets me speak the thing I want into existence, with the model capturing everything I say and slowly bringing the thing (course, talk, video) to life.
Work in progress, but I like it.

BullshitBench: GPT-6-Astra did quite a bit better than any previous OpenAI models but not quite reaching Anthropic models yet.
BTW, I have a dilemma, the judges that are used are pretty old - Sonnet 4.6, GPT-5.2 and Gemini 3.1 Pro. Ideally I'd re-grade all responses with Fable, Astra-level models, but it would cost me ~$3k to do. I could just switch the judges going forward, but that's bad for continuity. But I'm not super happy using these older models, e.g. see how many of Astra's grades are Amber, there are probably some that would become green or red with better judging.

引用@petergostevI've got a fun new benchmark for you where most LLMs are doing pretty badly - "Bullshit Benchmark".
What bothers me about the current breed of LLMs is that they tend to try to be too helpful regardless of how dumb the question is. So I've built 55 'bullshit' … ↗
I've asked Astra to read the DeepSeek v4.1 Flash paper and compare it to the original Transformer architecture in 3D - you can zoom in an inspect each element side by side. Things have changed quite a bit.
Try yourself: https://t.co/ESxu7fYGlGhttps://t.co/wJzLLmRJms
I would like to draw a distinction between UI capabilities and UI instincts. Even Qwen-3.8-27b has good UI instincts and can make a good landing page. But a model like Astra still has bad UI instincts but excellent UI capabilities. First pass is bad, iterations can be superb.
Astra was probably trained on only ~7% of OpenAI's total compute

The reason why open source feels close to proprietary models is that the leading labs are still using tiny amount of their compute for their biggest models. Jensen said that Astra was trained on 100,000 of Blackwells, which is only about ~7% of OpenAI's total compute, based on Epoch's numbers we can estimate c.3.4m H100-equivalents that OpenAI probably has at HY 2026 (with 2.5x conversion from Blackwells to H100, making it 250k H100-equivalents).
This means that OpenAI (and assume same applies to Anthropic), could 7x their training run tomorrow and still leave 50% of their compute for inference.
You can see how a Moonshot or Alibaba could access perhaps 30-100k H100-equivalents either within China or e.g. renting in Malaysia or the Middle East and be within broadly same class of models that are trained by Anthropic/OpenAI right now. Maybe GPT-5.6-Sol was trained at 50k GB200s mark - not impossible for others to catch up.
But what happens when the frontier labs 5x-10x their next runs, could 2nd tier labs to this as well? It's possible that OpenAI's model that solved Navier-Stokes is already that model, so there's not a lot of time to scale up.
It feels to me like OpenAI/Anthropic were hitting some training scale-up bottlenecks that they are starting to solve now. Jensen said that "400k are coming online next", that would mean 4x uplift just from that. That would still leave a lot of compute on the table. Feels like there's a lot more to come.
I have given GPT-6-Astra in Codex to read OpenAI's paper and produce a visualisation of their solution to the Navier-Stokes problem in Blender. It has created this beautiful visual.
Explore it at your leisure: https://t.co/Xo2RIpum85https://t.co/nbQwZMEWT7

The point is that it catches attention (and makes money) and it's controversial as you can see from the 100+ replies in the post below (which catches even more attention)
You have to become a master of getting attention in this time
Now that building anything has become quite trivial, catching attention is now the most important skill I think

The question is the timeline

If you build with AI, you NEED to be using Herdr
It's made me 100x more productive and has made it SO easy to manage all of my agents across Codex, Claude, Hermes, and OpenClaw
It's a free, open source CLI tool and I'm addicted
Here's how it works:
You get 'spaces' (top left in screenshot) which are basically your projects. You make a space for every project you're building
In each space you get tabs (top of screen). Each tab can be a separate agent. They're each basically a new terminal instance
I open a tab for each part of the project I'm working on. For example, in the game I'm building I have a tab for gameplay, sound, design, progression etc. Each is a terminal with Codex open
Every time you open a new agent, it goes into your agents list in the bottom left. This allows you to see which agents are working and which need a response so you can quickly multitask. Herdr automatically picks up when you open new agents
Herdr supports all agents, so you can manage Hermes, OpenClaw, Codex, and Claude agents side by side. By far the easiest way of managing multiple agents ever
If you take the few minutes it takes to set up and get used to, guarantee you get way more done
Since it's open source you can even build your own versions of it and customize it any way you want. I built my own version that lives in World of Warcraft so I can prompt while I play
No I'm not getting paid, no I'm not sponsored. Nobody from the team has ever contacted me
I'm sure I'll get accused of being paid any way (free open source tools love paying for undisclosed shills) but man I just had to share this. My productivity has been bananas the last week
Open source is taking over right now
This is actually the release I've been waiting for for a long time. A hacker's dream come true
You can now build the Jony Ive/OpenAI device before they even release it
Going to be buying a small dev screen/mic on Amazon. Plug it into my computer. Tell Astra to hack it and put the Live-1 API on it
Now anywhere you go you can just talk to the device and have it do work for you
Basically ChatGPT's Voice everywhere you go.
Give it commands, it starts doing work on your home computer
You basically can now build your own personal assistant
Tons of cheap ways to do this on Amazon with small dev devices. Just search for them
Things like this just make AI fun and I don't think we focus enough on having fun
引用@OpenAIDevsGPT-Live-1 is now available in the API.
Bring ChatGPT’s natural back-and-forth to your app, with voice agents that listen while they speak and work with the models and harness you choose. https://t.co/gIl1gwsBDV↗
This has sped up my AI coding 20x (prompt at the end):
Before building out a big feature, ask ChatGPT 6 Astra to ask you as many questions it needs to fully plan out the idea
This is even better than plan mode. plan mode is typically limited to 3 or 4 questions. This is like a super plan mode and makes Astra SO good
This has asked me 100+ questions before. Seems like a lot but actually saves you time in the long run
The plan it builds will be so detailed and complete that it can basically run autonomously and build the entire thing
But here's where you take things to the next level:
You also have it take your entire plan and create detailed Linear issues for it
It should create 20+ tasks in Linear
Then it's as easy as saying "ok work on the next thing" over and over until the feature is done
Highly recommend downloading and using Linear if you haven't yet. Amazing project management tool w/ excellent free tier
Will basically capture all these details and put your agent on autopilot. It's a 2nd brain.
Use this prompt:
"I want to build out *describe your feature in detail*. Ask as many questions you need of my to fully understand every detail of what I want to build out. Then take everything you learn, and create super focused and detailed Linear issues. Then begin work"
Getting so much more high quality code out with this workflow. You're welcome.

This explains why half of founders here are to scared to start a business, the other half doesn't give a shit and just yolo.
引用@michael_kove@SimonHoiberg For one of my clients (entering EU markets from US) - we hired a GDPR lawyer. It was highly recommended firm, with positive track record.
He said, "it's a gamble. You do your best and hope for the best"
A lawyer who specializes in compliance. ↗
And most people don't really know what GDPR is and which rights it gives them. Most businesses owners don't know what it is and what obligations it gives them.
Ask AI, and even AI will have a hard time giving you a clear answer.
And now AI act...
It's just confusing, unclear bureaucracy for the sake of it. EU has become a master of this theater.
引用@dhhThe GDPR has been a catastrophe for Europe. The billions of euros misspent on stupid compliance games to with loser prizes like this is tragic. A bold EU would recognize the lateness of the hour and flush it whole. ↗
The awesome part of selling a $799 software bundle is that you don't need many sales before it starts getting fun.
I'm doing just a couple of sales/day. And that's $40K-$60K/month.
Then 2-3 times/year I do promotions which makes the revenue spike in those periods.
Convincing people to buy your stuff is hard. The value need to be crystal clear. But once you've convinced them, having them pay $799 instead of $120 is surprisingly little harder - at least for the right kind of buyer.
Generally, it's easier to convince 2 people to buy for $799 than 6 people to buy for $120.

Every time I recommend self-hosted tools, people ask where they should rent the hardware.
For learning, testing, or running small, lightweight services - I recommend a small VPS.
The annoying part is that the price changes a lot by region. Storage, IPv4, bandwidth, taxes, and annual commitments can make the headline number pretty useless.
I went through the current starter plans and picked nine options with at least 2GB RAM, storage, and public IPv4.
Europe:
• Netcup - €5.72/month + setup
• OVHcloud - $5.35/month
• Hetzner - €11.99/month
US:
• RamNode - $5/month
• AtlanticNet - $8/month
• DigitalOcean - $12/month
Asia:
• BinaryLane Singapore - A$9.80/720 hours

and we closed signups 2 months ago because we couldn't onboard people fast enough
now we're slowly letting people in from the waitlist
see the fact is Reddit is extremely hard to build distribution on
it takes months of being useful before anyone lets you mention what you built
and that's what we're solving with it
everyone calling Reddit dead because ChatGPT stopped citing it is wrong
Promptwatch said Reddit's share of ChatGPT citations went from 3.83% to 0.52%
when in April it was the most cited domain in ChatGPT
the panic is fair
if you built your AI visibility plan on Reddit, you'd be worried about it going to waste
but almost nobody opened the other dataset
Ahrefs looked at 145M US Google results
when the "discussions and forums" block shows up, Reddit is still in it about 84% of the time
Reddit lost one channel (maybe, it's not definite yet), but it's still showing up in the other one your buyer uses before they've decided anything
and nobody has a comparable baseline for the ChatGPT number either:
- Promptwatch had Reddit at 3.83% of citations before the drop
- Ahrefs, same platform, around the same time, had it at 16.7%
- Semrush once put it near 60%
yet everyone quoted an 86% collapse off a number the industry measures four different ways
and nobody outside OpenAI can actually explain either one. we all rebuilt our strategy around a number one tracker caught
Reddit is miserable to market on
it takes months of being useful before anyone lets you mention what you built
so continue doing that

Massive new Initial Commit skill drop! An 89-file behemoth!
https://t.co/dNd8p54QcR

I've been running various iterations of this a dozen times a day for months.
have been trying to codify how i feel about technology, especially as i have more and more conversations with my kids about ai and the role of tech in their lives as teens/young adults.
they've just got entirely different perspectives/lived experiences and i've had trouble putting my finger on what to call those differences or the lens i view technology through.
initially my thought was "well, i'm a techno-optimist" but i don't know that i am. i don't really have an ideological view of technology in the "right and wrong" sense.
i'm just excited about technology. i see possibility. i see opportunity.
can technology be misused? obviously. just like all tools. but i don't believe they're inherently evil and i believe they are an incredible force for good when used appropriately.
so. what's that called?
in my head it's a lot like early radio. a real frontier. wide open spectrum, anybody with a rig could broadcast, nobody owned it. you could put a voice into someone's living room from a hundred miles away and nobody had to give you permission.
risk? sure. bad actors? plenty. unknowns? yup. but you could talk to strangers through the air. absolute magic.
and then it got licensed. networks bought the spectrum, and radio went from something you did to something you received. it's just what happens. every open frontier eventually gets fenced.
which is, i think, the actual gap between me and my kids. i got the internet while it was still spectrum. they got it after the networks moved in. i'm not more optimistic than they are. i just showed up earlier.
so what am i? i'm a frontier optimist. i thrive in the wide open spectrum.
about to simplify pricing on https://t.co/rHttZyJqV0
running a store is a constant whack-a-mole battle against bad actors stealing your brand, your photos, your name and everything in between.
knockoff fights that battle for you so you can keep growing your empire. the end. https://t.co/kftu1lafIi
not to go grandpa mode here, but something i notice w/ a LOT of younger generations of entrepreneurs is total comfort in saying literally anything in the name of marketing.
no qualms about making baseless, impossible claims and guarantees.
this WILL come back to bite you.

"Consulting is bad, only sell products."
Do both.
I wanted only to sell products, but then something strange happened.
Some customers wanted additional value and had $20k, $30k even $50k budgets.
It would have been insane to turn those customers away.
"Sorry mate, I only sell products"
If you have experience and knowledge that is highly valuable, you're doing yourself a disservice by not packaging it.
Only indie hackers have this narrow-minded mindset.
Every major SaaS company offers professional services to enterprise customers.
The clue is in the second S of SaaS.
If you want a successful SaaS you have to do the BORING work.
You can’t just post screenshots on X all day.
Do SEO, cold email, LinkedIn.
If you don’t want to do those things, don’t start a SaaS.
I never thought AI economics would get this weird this fast.
> Step 1: AI is expensive.
> Step 2: AI gets cheaper.
> Step 3: Middlemen compete on who takes the smallest cut.
> Step 4: Middlemen pay YOU to use them.
We're on step 4. Cashback on tokens, like a credit card for your AI bill.
Everybody's fighting over the models. The real fight is over who owns the account the models get paid through.
If you run a business on AI, your bill is now a bargaining chip. Use it.

X ads used to be terrible, but they seem very compelling now. You can target the followers of accounts you handpick, and you often get a cost per click in the 6c-10c range. Also, it seems like engagements from ads boost organic reach. For example, the ad may bring 1M impressions, and the same post gets another 2M impressions organically, presumably boosted by the engagements from the ad. I've seen this happen many times in the past 4 months.
Some people try to reduce the ads they see on the platform by blocking every account they see running an ad, so there is still a downside that you get mass blocked by thousands of people. But it might still be worth it if you want to get a spike of attention to something important you want to promote.

so I essentially work without pay on Vidalia for the whole season. once we wrap up, I pay all our remaining bills and see what's left. if there's nothing, then homey gets zilch.

Love this example on the homepage of using an AI agent to set up a full onboarding workflow, just by typing. Amazing stuff! https://t.co/xTvtQghLzu

I’m still deep in my experimentation phase. The ultimate goal is to move from selling my time to selling my knowledge.
This means shipping small projects. Last month that was a 15-day marketing sprint, a one-page personal site and a productized service I’m testing privately with a few founders.
Next up is my personal newsletter. I’m tired of depending on social media algorithms to reach people who enjoy my content but often don’t see it.
Then I’ll focus on Zero to Marketing. I’ll rebuild it from the ground up: new format, new site, new everything. When I find something that works I’ll start doing sponsorships.
After that I’ll start playing with video.
Q4 here I come 💪
